The vote count is still going on in the 12th single-seat constituency of the Vinnitsa region, but the breakaway between the first and the second candidate is so big that we can already say who will be the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from this constituency.
Oleksiy Petrovych Poroshenko, who is a member of his father’s party “Bloc of Petro Poroshenko” will become an MP.
By the morning of October 27 Poroshenko-junior had 66.21% of the votes, at the second place and the candidate from “Samopomich” party Oleksandr Slobodianiuk with 10.58% of the votes occupied the second position.
Apparently, the voters hope that in this unstable time the best guarantee for at least relative well-being of their region will be the election of the country’s ruler closest relative to the Rada from their single mandate electoral district.
It is interesting, that Petro Poroshenko, current President of Ukraine, ran for the parliamentary elections of 2012 in the same electoral district, and got 71.5% of the votes.
